Last February, the CBD Secretariat organised a technical expert workshop in Montreal on “other effective area-based conservation measures” (OECMs) for achieving Aichi Biodiversity Target 11. In November 2017, fisherwomen from different parts of Costa Rica shared their knowledge and experiences of good practices in sustainable fishing and on related subjects such as land tenure, climate change, invasive species, culture, decent work and health, among others.  Leer más ▸
The year 2017 was rather eventful for the Working Group for ICCAs in Indonesia. Now established as a coalition of national CSOs and recognized as the leading platform for ICCAs issues in Indonesia, WGII held a seminar on Community and Conservation in February 2017, where it launched the first national online registration platform for ICCAs.  Leer más ▸
