Amado de Jesús Ramos Prieto
Regional Representative for Mesoamerica and the Caribbean
Amado de Jesús Ramos Prieto, an Indigenous Náhuat from El Salvador, is the legal representative of the Fundación para el Desarrollo de la Cultura Indígena Los Pasos del Jaguar, a representative of the Red TICCA El Salvador, and a member of the Steering Council for the Mesoamerica subregion. He also contributes his expertise as a researcher on Indigenous knowledge ecosystems to the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO, from its Spanish acronym). His experience and deep understanding of the region’s dynamics are valuable assets for the Global Council, strengthening its work in line with the principles of representation, cultural diversity, shared responsibility, and respect for the self-determination of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities across the Mesoamerica subregion.
