Thanking Emma Courtine

First published on 01/29/2021, and last updated on 02/01/2021

We extend our deep appreciation and best wishes to Emma Courtine as she moves on from the ICCA Consortium’s Secretariat to new horizons with La Via Campesina in Europe.

We wholeheartedly thank Emma Courtine for her many contributions to the ICCA Consortium since 2013 – as volunteer interpreter, workshop energiser, Programme Assistant, Membership Engagement Coordinator and more. Through diverse and multi-faceted roles, she has been involved in many aspects of the Consortium’s work, including helping organise General Assemblies and other international gatherings, welcoming new Members and Honorary members into the association, supporting trilingual communication and strengthening the positioning of youth and gender issues. Everyone who has met Emma fondly recalls her positive energy, beautiful artistic abilities and passion for connecting with people across languages and cultures.

Although Emma has moved on from our Secretariat as of 21 January 2021, she will remain an Honorary member of the ICCA Consortium and involved in related issues locally and regionally in Europe. We wish her all the best with her exciting new position at La Via Campesina!
