Mercedes Villalba (based in Chile) has joined as Administration Assistant. Alison Powell (based in Portugal) has taken on the role of Administration Coordinator.

We are very excited to announce that Mercedes took on her new role within our Secretariat as of 27 September 2021, and Alison took on her new role earlier this year. We are confident that these changes will significantly strengthen our finance and administration capacities in service of our membership, and that Mercedes will fit in well with our unique organizational culture.

Based in Santiago, Chile. Mercedes holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Buenos Aires and has worked for more than 15 years both in for-profit and non-profit international organizations performing different finance and administrative roles: project management, leading teams, capacity building, meeting facilitation, etc. She is also a Certified Ontological Coach and actress. Her coaching training started during her Drama lessons, back in 2012, with a particular emphasis on emotions and bodyfulness. Since 2016, Mercedes has given assistance to coaching institutes and supported the coordination of an international human rights network. Currently, she is specializing in Theatre and Education at the University of Chile. She enjoys traveling and reading.
