ICSF Note for CSOs: 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Small-scale Fisheries

ICSF (2017)

This note is produced by the International Collective in Support of Fishworkers (ICSF) and focuses on the forthcoming Ocean Conference: Our Oceans, Our Future: Partnering for the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 and its preparatory meeting, which contribute to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It also provides information on other processes associated with SDGs such as SDG targets and indictors, the voluntary national reports (VNRs) and the high level political forums (HLPF) that can potentially benefit small-scale fishing communities. It is hoped that the note provides all relevant information in one place to help further mainstream the FAO’s Voluntary Guidelines for Securing Sustainable Small-scale Fisheries into policies, programmes and activities at different levels.
