This audio episode explores the role  traditional indigenous knowledge can play to counter climate change. It features Snowchange Cooperative director and ICCA Consortium Member: Tero Mustonen.

From his base at Snowchange in Finland, Tero Mustoned works with indigenous communities around the world on projects related to climate change. He has been chosen to be one of the lead authors of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s next assessment report, due out in the early 2020s. Therefore how does he thinks traditional indigenous knowledge can inform climate science? Mustonen also talks about Snowchange’s work with indigenous communities, from ecological restoration to solar initiatives. Initiatives using solar are specifically designed to empower women in remote indigenous communities.
