Based in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Holly met ICCA Consortium co-founders Grazia Borrini-Feyerabend, Taghi Farvar and Ashish Kothari in 2008 and was immediately hooked on ICCAs–territories of life (for life!). She is passionate about social and environmental justice and has a lifelong dedication to supporting these movements. After volunteering and working with the ICCA Consortium for more than 10 years, she now serves as the Global Coordinator, having taken up the baton from Grazia in January 2020. Holly draws from an interdisciplinary background in public international law, cultural anthropology, zoology, non-profit leadership, transnational advocacy and multimedia. She has been fortunate to live and work in several countries around the world since growing up in Canada. She volunteers with the Borneo Eco Film Festival and has co-authored and edited publications on issues related to territories of life, human rights, environmental law, nature conservation and participatory processes.
