Lorena Arce

Regional Coordinator for the South Cone (2011-2023)

Based in Chile. Lorena has worked on interdisciplinary teams with several organizations dealing with rural development. She is an advocate for local and small- scale solutions to global problems, and she believes that ICCAs represent proven examples of that approach, and should be recognized and supported. Lorena has an academic background in economics and management and a Master’s Degree in Social Policies. She recently finished her second Master’s, in Planning and Regional Development. In her work for NGOs, she has served as a consultant in international organizations, such as FAO, and has assisted local governments and community-based organizations.
