Thematic representative for documenting territories of life
Based in Mexico. Carlos Licón is a writer, cultural manager, content developer and producer of communication materials with a documentary approach for the involvement of citizens in organised actions towards the defence of the territory. Since 2011, he collaborates with Nuiwari, A. C (Member of the ICCA Consortium), and is part of its Executive Committee, beyond being Coordinator of Institutional Development and Communication of both Nuiwari and the San Pedro Libre movement. He is also a member of the Academia Sonorense de Estudio de los Derechos Humanos (Sonoran Academy for the Study of Human Rights) and participated in the citizen initiative that produced the proposal for the Law for the Promotion of Culture and the Arts of the State of Sonora, which served as the basis for the current law. He has also served as an advisor to the state government on public policies related to society, education and culture.
