Based in the USA. Teodora holds a doctorate in anthropology from Binghamton University (USA) and an Indigenous Peoples’ Rights certificate from the Human Rights Education Associates (HREA) and the Human Rights Centre of the United Nations-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. Throughout her extensive international professional experience in academia, NGOs and media organizations, Teodora has focused on global contemporary social, cultural, and political issues, including social justice, human rights, environment, sustainable development, with an emphasis on indigenous issues worldwide. Currently, she is copyeditor for the “Fourth World Journal” published by the Center for World Indigenous Studies (CWIS). Teodora has conducted research in the Mayan communities of the highlands in Guatemala; in the Bribri communities in Costa Rica; in the Embera communities in Panama; and in the indigenous Veddas community in Sri Lanka.
