Stk’emlúpsemc te Secwepemc Nation (SSN) defending its land against Ajax Mine

Stk’emlúpsemc te Secwepemc Nation (SSN) has recently carried out its own autonomous Environmental Assessment process to consider the proposed Ajax Mine in their territory near Kamloops, BC. This historic step in self-determination included the conduct of the First Nation’s own independent assessment of the KGHM-Ajax Mine Project in accordance with SSN laws and governance — which respect SSN cultural perspectives, knowledge and history.
