Corumbá hosted the 2nd ICCA national Meeting in Brazil. Gathering more than 54 participants, it led to the creation of two committees to strengthen the understanding of ICCAs and actions of the Brazilian ICCA Platform on the ground.  Read more ▸

The Conservation through Reconciliation Partnership in Canada aims to ensure that Indigenous laws and knowledge systems play a significant part in helping Canada meet its international obligations for the increased protection of biodiversity and the stewardship of culturally significant plants and animals. Read more ▸
In Malaysia, despite long- standing problems and complaints of the indigenous peoples affected by Bakun Dam, and without the free, prior, and informed consent of local populations, the government is planning to build another such project: Papar Dam. Regional and International - ICCA Consortium news, events and initiatives

As the Amazon forest continues to burn for more than 20 days without effective action being taken by the Brazilian and Bolivian governments, COICA is calling out to international allies for solidarity and urgent assistance, to gather funds to stop fires and help local communities recover. Read more ▸
During a four- week period this summer, Ghanimat Azhdari, representative of ICCA Consortium Member CENESTA and member of the Consortium Council, participated in the OHCHR Indigenous Fellowship Programme in Geneva, where she submitted a statement in support of the migration of nomadic indigenous peoples. Read more ▸
Scientists, indigenous representatives, and natural resources managers gathered to discuss climate-driven changes in species distributions and its impacts on natural systems and human well-being.
