A side event entitled ‘The Commons and Indigenous and Community Conserved Areas’ was held during this conference from 10.30-16.30 on 12 January, followed by a panel discussion from 16.30-18.00 on 14 January, entitled ‘Forest Rights Act, Community Forest Rights & Management of Community Conserved Areas’.

These two events were co-organised between Kalpavriksh (an ICCA Consortium member) and the ICCA Consortium, and was sponsored by FES (the Foundation for Ecological Security.)
