ICCA Consortium at Asia Parks Congress (APC)

Participating at the first Asia Parks Congress, the Consortium organized side events on of “Protected Areas and ICCAs” and “Threats and Challenges to ICCAs”.
Experiences were shared by presenting case studies from the region. Main output of the APC is the Asian Charter on Protected Areas which identifies Sacred Natural Sites (SNS) as key element – one issue for the potential of ICCAs.
