This special issue is a great opportunity to present case studies, research findings and various syntheses about inclusivity, with a special focus on the conservation practices and related innovations of local communities and Indigenous peoples. Marc Foggin, guest editor of this issue and Director of ICCA Consortium Member Plateau Perspectives, explains the submission modalities.

I am the Guest Editor of a special issue that has recently been launched in the journal Sustainability, on the theme “Inclusive Governance and Management of Protected and Conserved Areas.” This is a great opportunity to present case studies, research findings and various syntheses about inclusivity, with a special focus on the conservation practices and related innovations of local communities and Indigenous peoples. We especially welcome contributions from less commonly heard voices.

ICCA Consortium Members and Honorary Members are invited to submit contributions, which will be peer-reviewed. If helpful, please consider pairing up with one or more co-authors with experience writing for academic journals, as this could increase the likelihood of successfully getting your article published in the journal. Regarding financial aspects, I have negotiated substantial discounts on the publishing charges for submissions from Members of the Consortium; if you do not have any research grant that could cover these costs, we can discuss on case-by-case basis.

Submissions are welcome any time over the next year until 31 August 2021. Articles will be published online as they are accepted.
