We extend our appreciation and best wishes to Kathia Carrillo as she moves on from the ICCA Consortium’s Secretariat

The ICCA Consortium would like to express our sincere thanks to Kathia Carrillo for serving in new roles in the ICCA Consortium’s Secretariat since July 2020, first as joint Communications Coordinator and then as Multimedia and Campaigns Coordinator. Amongst other contributions and achievements, Kathia produced a short film on the ICCA Consortium’s history as part of our 10-year anniversary celebrations, started a podcast on territories of life with an episode featuring Council member Sarah Alakara for International Indigenous Women’s Day, and coordinated the ambitious multimedia and communications campaign in support of the Territories of Life: 2021 Report, including producing a teaser video of the report case studies, organizing a launch event and engaging with mainstream and social media.
Kathia will move on from the Secretariat as of 31 August 2021, but she remains committed to the issues at the core of the ICCA Consortium’s work. We wish her all the best for the future, both in a personal and professional capacity.
