Leadership Transition for the ICCA Consortium

First published on 01/22/2019, and last updated on 12/17/2019

In late 2017, a Search Committee was formed and tasked by the Consortium Council to oversee the leadership transition process of the Consortium – both Taghi Farvar and Grazia Borrini-Feyerabend were due to step down at the General Assembly at the end of 2019.  Ghanimat Azhdari and Fred Nelson are kindly acting as co-chairs of this Committee, which also includes Maurizio Farhan Ferrari, Tina Rai, Terence Hay-Edie, Trevor Sandwith and Grazia Borrini-Feyerabend.

Following the untimely loss in July 2018 of our beloved Dr M. Taghi Farvar, the Committee focused on nominations and election of a new President.  At the General Assembly in Bishoftu, Ethiopia, in November, Teddy B. Baguilat Jr. was unanimously elected to become President of the Consortium for the next three years.  We would like to thank our Elder Dave De Vera who graciously and thoughtfully acted as Interim President from July to November 2018.  We also warmly welcome Teddy and look forward to the future of the Consortium under his leadership.

It is now time to continue this leadership transition. At the end of 2019, Grazia Borrini Feyerabend will step down as Global Coordinator of the ICCA Consortium. The Search Committee and Executive Committee just made available the following Terms of Reference for the following positions:

Key positions available in the Consortium Secretariat as of January 1, 2020.

Nominations for key positions in the Consortium Council

Nominations for Auditor of Account

For full details on how to make nominations for Council positions, please refer to the Operational Guidelines.

If you have any questions about the Leadership Transition process, kindly refer to the Search Committee, which can be reached via the Programme Manager, Sarah Ryder, who supports it from the Consortium Secretariat.
