In Bolivia the ICCA Consortium promotes collaborative projects to defend Indigenous Peoples’ territories of life

The ICCA Consortium Assembly brings together Indigenous leaders who defend their territories, men and women with experience in the fight to conserve natural resources in Bolivia. These territories of life conserve biological diversity and sacred sites that are protected and governed by Indigenous Peoples and local communities, as they are their source of food, medicine, water, and other local livelihoods. Read more ▸

The Second Regional Assembly of the ICCA Consortium in Latin America

The second Regional Assembly of the ICCA Consortium in Latin America was held in October 2019, in Peru, before the III Congress of Protected Areas of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAPLAC). Herramientas de Monitoreo Ambiental para los TICCA

En una perspectiva estratégica de acción para contribuir al autoconocimiento que coadyuve el fortalecimiento, la restauración y la protección en los TICCA de Bolivia, se orientó al desarrollo de herramientas de gestión que permitan el monitoreo por parte de los mismos pueblos locales, de las funciones y servicios ecosistémicos, que conduzcan a la auto-observación y auto-reflexión, en el propósito de fortalecer sus búsquedas y caminos hacia el buen vivir, haciendo frente a las presiones del desarrollo extractivista. Read more ▸
