The Ndima-Kali association, based in the Sangha region on the border between Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic, brings together young people from the forest-dwelling BaAka community as well as Sangha-Sangha fishers.
In 2025, the association stepped up its efforts to promote traditional knowledge and defend the rights of both communities, particularly regarding access to land, natural resources, and education. Ndima-Kali promotes a balance between environmental preservation and ways of life, in a way that meets the agricultural needs of local populations.
This approach provides an alternative to gathering, hunting and fishing. The association carried out missions to identify households in need of support, particularly in seeds and agricultural tools. At the end of these operations, seeds and farming equipment were redistributed to villages in the Sangha-Mbaéré prefecture, in the southwest of the country.
